Former champion Graeme McDowell says he is looking forward to playing on a tough Oakmont course in this week’s US Open.

The Northern Irishman, who won at Pebble Beach in 2010, feels his game is suited to the Pennsylvania course.

McDowell hopes a good finish will boost his chances of making the Olympic Games and European Ryder Cup team.
